Interesting to see
This is neat...and scary as well!  To put the sheer size of the BP oil spill into perspective, these guys have created a program to let you measure it against the land mass surrounding your home town.  Click on the link, then enter your town, and province (or state) in the location box top of page, and 'move' the oil spill.  Scary! Affordable Housing?

This place seems very modern, BUT?
HERE?S THE INNOVATIVE PART!!...
This 1 bedroom loft apartment was built inside a grain bin. The owner paid $200 for the old bin, then put $5600 in renovations into it (doing all the work himself to save money). It cost another $700 to have it moved to the grounds of an Old Homestead in Saskatchewan . Now who wouldn't want to live here for $6500. If that's not creative craftmanship, then I don't know what is! Only in Saskatchewan, you say!

Droooooooollllllll!
These photos were taken at a wedding in North Carolina .
Get ready for this: It's a wedding cake!
The crabs, corn, and even the container of Old Bay Seasoning are made of white chocolate.
The sand is crushed graham crackers and vanilla wafers.
The mallets are fondant, a confection used for decorating.
The entire $700 cake is edible!
Crab Cake is not always what you think!

Coquitlam is planning a Referendum as part of its upcoming election. The rationale is to have a no cost piggyback on voters already coming to the polls. Councillor Piamonte proposed a similar action relative to clarifying the voter interest in proceeding with a daycare given the 2-1 rejection of financing a community centre/daycare in the last Anmore referendum in his open letter.  (21-04-10) For link to full Coquitlam NOW article Click Here

Wanted: Used 727 Cheap!

Pay attention, airlines. Here is a way to recoup some of those losses.
Imagine having a Boeing 727 as a home. The plane set Joanne Ussary
back $2,000.00, cost $4,000.00 to move, and $24,000.00 to renovate.
That's not bad for a $30,000.00 investment. The stairs open with a garage door remote, and one of the bathrooms is still intact. And let's not forget the personal jacuzzi in the cockpit. Sweet......

The Boeing home is featured as part of a collection of creative conversions. I want it.....and the view! Anyone with an old 727 they don't want?  Joanne Dolan (29-03-10)
